U.S. Air Force Security Service

The United States Air Force Security Service emblem symbolizes the command's mission. On a shield divided into four equal parts, the globe signifies the command's worldwide influence, the lightning bolt on a field of red represents electronic transmission, the blue wing on a field of yellow represents the command's subordination to the Air Force, and the sword and shield represent the protection and security the command provides. Designed by A2C William H. Rodgers, the emblem was adopted and approved by the U.S. Air Force in August 1952.

AF honors 7th Intel Squadron among ISR pros

The 7th Intelligence Squadron "Tigers" at Fort Meade, Md., were top Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Program performers in 2010.

Fit to Fight
